Central Figures

The People that Make Central Middle School Great!

Mr. Brockman - by Jacqueline Serrano and Maritxa Sanchez

Mr. Brockman teaches 7th grade history, he has been at Central Middle School for 7 years. He came from Overland Park, Kansas. He got a job in education because he likes working with students. The thing he likes best about his job is that he likes seeing students get better. Something he doesn't like about his job is grading papers.
Outside of school he likes to be active and hangout with friends. If he didn't get a job in education he would have worked at a job outside. Something that makes him unique is that he grew up with Tourette's Syndrome. Advice he would give to Central Middle School students is to "Do right. Even when nobody is looking."

Ms. Martin - by Andrea Maldonado

here for three years. She is originally from Olathe, Kansas. Her family consists of her husband and her dogs. She became a teacher because she likes to help students learn. Her favorite thing about her job is building relationships with students, but she doesn't like having to write up students when they get in trouble.

When not at school, Ms Martin likes to read and to go camping. If she had gotten a job outside of education she would have been a whale evolutionary biologist. Her advice to CMS students is to "Do your homework and listen to your teacher's advice, even it's not from school."
